Nadia Cavner donation 11-21-17

The Care to Learn chapter in Monett, now in its second year, received a jump-start recently with a $15,000 donation from Nadine Cavner, who made a similar gift last year to start the program. Lacey Berry, left, the new Care to Learn liaison, accepted the donation from Cavner, who made the gift in honor of Tristan Fertig, who was present with his dad, Gary Fertig, right. Care to Learn is a not-for-profit foundation providing funds for emergent needs in health, hunger and hygiene, acting quickly. EFCO Corporation held a fundraiser for the organization. Last year the chapter held a Chuck the Duck fundraiser at basketball homecoming and other smaller events, such as a 5K run and a Parents Night Out, giving parents a place to drop their kids for an evening to themselves. For additional information, people may call Berry at 417-354-2168. Murray Bishoff/[email protected]
