Justin Wagler shares his talent as the Senior Graphic Designer of Care to Learn and started with the organization in August 2021. Justin joined Care to Learn on a contract basis after previously serving as a designer and brand specialist for CoxHealth, the City of Springfield, instructing at Missouri State University, and working in past roles for notable brands like Marriott, Hyatt, IHG, and Panera.
Justin graduated from Missouri State University with a B.F.A. degree in Graphic Design in 2010.
A man of many loves, he enjoys his chickens, dogs, illustration, printing, general nerdery, Green Bay Packers, hiking, and time at the grill. However, his perfect weekend includes board games, banana bread, and time with his family.
Justin has a passion for serving at Care to Learn because he understands firsthand why resources are so critical for the families served.
“I’ve been in the place that many of the people Care to Learn serves, have been. I started a new job, had a child, and was married within a year of graduating college and as a family, we were barely making ends meet - earning just above the minimum wage. This is not a livable wage, and in order to make ends meet, we utilized various programs like TANF and EBT just to provide for our small family, and we were still forced to make hard decisions month to month. What Care to Learn provides is an opportunity for struggling families, like mine had been, to take a deep breath and focus on other needs - knowing that their children won’t go hungry, unclothed, or forced to push through pain because the family could not afford to meet those needs. I’m proud to help further this mission and organization because it means a family can sleep a little easier knowing they have that support.” - Justin
