Chapter Information
Care to Learn - Nixa was established in 2009 as the 4th Care to Learn Chapter. It currently serves students in partnership with the Nixa School District.
In addition to filling health, hunger, and hygiene needs, the Care to Learn - Nixa Chapter has a robust food backpack program.
The Care to Learn - Nixa Chapter also hosts an annual fundraising event known as Boots & Bling to raise funds for the Care to Learn mission.

Chapter Leadership
Annie Zimmerman
Annie is the Chapter Liaison for the Care to Learn - Nixa Chapter and has served in this role since 2013. She is also the Physical Education Teacher and Head High School Volleyball Coach for the Nixa School District. One of her favorite memories with Care to Learn was, “seeing the reaction from a high school boy when he received a new pair of shoes.”
As Liaison for the Nixa Chapter, Annie works within the Nixa School District to ensure students’ basic needs are being met and to raise funds to ensure Care to Learn – Nixa continues its mission.

The Nixa Chapter provides weekend food backpacks to students in need every Friday. Backpacks included shelf-stable essentials and including breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack items to help students.
