5,000 Hygiene Kits for 5,000 Kids
Green Team | Aug 4
Back-to-school season is here, and Care to Learn is ready to help.
After hours of prep and packing, our Green Team handed out hygiene kits to every single student who came to the Springfield Public Schools Back to School Bash.
Now that's a big impact.

What's in a Hygiene Kit:
Back-to-school hygiene kits include full-sized shampoo, conditioner, body soap, toothpaste, and a toothbrush.
Our favorite part of the kit is the “Be Kind Checklist,” which reminds students that confidence comes from the inside out, and that being kind to others is something easy to share.
The Helping Hands Who Made it Happen:
Hundreds of Helping Hands chipped in to help students in need, and we couldn't be more thankful.
"My favorite part of the Bash was hearing a Care to Learn volunteer tell a student, 'Welcome! We've been waiting all day just for you.' As soon as they said that, the student absolutely beamed in response. They felt so appreciated and seen. I'll never forget it."
-Tina Miller, SPS Student Support Coordinator
At the end of the day, every child deserves to have clean clothes, a full stomach, and a good night’s sleep. Access to these critical health, hunger, and hygiene resources means all children not only feel good, but they can step into school ready to learn.
This back-to-school season, you can support students right here in our community. Let’s make this the most impactful year yet! Learn how you can be a Helping Hand Partner: caretolearn.org/helpinghandspartner.
