For the first time in THREE years, we gathered together in one place to host our 2022 Chapter Liaison Conference. Can we celebrate that for a moment?!

Why this is a big deal: First, we’ve been apart for several years. And second, we know that Care to Learn has the ability to make the MOST impact when our Missouri Chapters are at their best.

It’s why we're committed to investing in and training our Chapter Liaisons every single year, so they can return to their districts with the best tools and resources to serve their students.

Here are 5 things we loved about this year’s conference:

  • We got to see Chapter Liaisons from 29 of our Chapters (in person). Some of our Chapters even drove 220+ miles to attend. That’s commitment and we’re here for it!

THANK YOU for a wonderful day of learning! It was so great and we appreciate all the time and work you all put into the day. =)

- Marcy Easterly, Strafford Chapter Liaison
  • We got to celebrate the anniversary of Chapter Liaisons who have served with Care to Learn for 5+ years. Did we mention we even had 2 Chapter Liaisons who have served with us for more than 10 years? Talk about dedication to our mission! Give us some tissues, please!

  • We loved our incredible guest speaker Josh Shipp. He made us laugh. He made us cry. He left us feeling like we could change the world by spending meaningful time building trust with the children in our lives and those we come across in our Care to Learn communities. Basically, exactly what we were hoping for. Thank you, Josh.

Let's relive the fun: 2022 Care to Learn Chapter Liaison Conference

Thank you for your hard work putting today's conference together. It was great all the way around. It was VERY helpful to me in more ways than one. Thank you for all you do!

- Redenna Lansdown, Seymour Chapter Liaison
  • Resources, resources, resources. Our Chapter Liaisons are busy and we wanted them to leave armed with tools to make them more efficient. Here’s what they had to say:

"Just wanted to send you a quick thank you for today! My heart is full and I feel rejuvenated. Josh Shipp was phenomenal and you guys seriously killed this first conference. The day flew by and everything was just amazing. You nailed the little details. I can’t tell you how much we appreciate being seen and having you be some of our biggest cheerleaders. I’m rambling so thank you again for a day full of connection, laughs, and so much good, organized information."
-Ellen Heitzig, St. Charles Chapter Liaison

"Hello! For starters, I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed [the conference] and all of the information I gathered! It was very obvious that the Care to Learn team put a lot of time and effort into the event, so thank you!"
-Jaymi Bellah, Marionville Chapter Liaison

5. Last but not least: Let’s face it, we love a good theme, and our 2022 “Get Back in the Saddle” Conference Theme gave us a lot to work with. We had way too much fun doing the dosey-doh to Dolly Parton, decorating with a little country flair, and breaking out our cowboy boots so we could stomp, hoot, and holler for a group of hard-working individuals who we care about a whole lot!
