Chapter Leadership
Amber Cox
Amber is the Chapter Liaison for the Care to Learn - Clever Chapter. She works in the Clever R-V School Central Office as Payroll/HR.
As a Liaison for the Clever Chapter, Amber works within Clever R-I School District to ensure student’s basic needs are being met and to raise funds to ensure Care to Learn – Clever continues its mission.
As of the 2022-2023 school year, Amber has served as a Chapter Liaison for more than 10 years. Her favorite memory with Care to Learn is below.
"Jay Threads is a collaboration of staff, students, and the community where new and gently used clothing items are made available for any student of Clever Schools to come and “shop” for items a couple of times a month. One Saturday morning, a sweet blond-headed little girl came into the store with eyes wide open, excited for all that was available. When she was shopping for a pair of shoes; she found two options, a sensible tennis shoe and a brand new pair of pink sparkly slip-ons. She was torn between the two and a volunteer quickly suggested she take both. With a smile that lit up the room; she decided to just wear her pink sparkly shoes home that day. I will never forget the look of happiness on that little girl's face as she excitedly left Jay Threads with her shopping bag in hand and sparkly shoes on her feet."
