Scuola Vita Nuova Chapter

Nicole is one of the Chapter Liaisons for the Care to Learn - SVN Chapter. She also serves as the Superintendent and Principal for the Scuola Vita Nuova Charter School.

As a Liaison for the SVN Chapter, Elena works within the Scuola Vita Nuova Charter School to ensure students’ basic needs are being met and to raise funds to ensure Care to Learn – SVN continues its mission.

She recently shared the impact that Care to Learn has on meeting hunger needs:

“We serve a very diverse culture, and every culture is different. For example, with food pantry items. A lot of the food pantry options don’t have items that our families are used to. With Care to Learn, when there is a hunger need we can give our families access to food that they are accustomed to and that is a part of their culture. That is important and that is honoring them.”

Elena is one of the Chapter Liaisons for the Care to Learn - SVN Chapter. She also serves as a Heath Aide for the Scuola Vita Nuova Charter School.

As a Liaison for the SVN Chapter, Elena works within the Scuola Vita Nuova Charter School to ensure student’s basic needs are being met and to raise funds to ensure Care to Learn – SVN continues its mission.

Elena is a huge advocate of Care to Learn and sees first hand the impact it can provide. She says she rememberings being able provide clothes for a student who needed to go to a big and tall store, “I went to the store to get clothes because the store was located 35 minutes away and family could not go because of work. The student really changed after that day, when he received his clothes.”
