Chapter Information
Care to Learn - Strafford was established in 2021 as the 37th Care to Learn Chapter. It currently serves students in partnership with the Strafford R-VI School District.
In addition to serving the health, hunger, and hygiene needs, the Strafford Care to Learn Chapter also offers a robust clothing closet for elementary and high school students.
The Strafford Chapter also partners with several organizations in the community to raise funds for students in need, and thanks Doug Fronick and Matt Maness with APAC for their corporate sponsorship.

Chapter Leadership
Marcy Easterly
Marcy is one of the Chapter Liaisons for the Care to Learn - Strafford Chapter. She also serves as the Communications Director for the Strafford R-VI School District.
As a Liaison for the Strafford Chapter, Marcy works within the Strafford R-VI School District to ensure student’s basic needs are being met and to raise funds to ensure Care to Learn – Strafford continues its mission.
“The very first need we filed was for a little girl in first grade. She had feet that were very wide and it was very hard for her parents to find shoes that would fit her because they were too expensive. She kept wearing the same sandals. We were able to order her a pair of shoes and by the next day, she was dancing around. She told us they were the nicest shoes she ever had.”
Lacey Ross
Lacey is one of the Chapter Liaisons for the Care to Learn - Strafford Chapter. She also serves as a Nurse for the Strafford R-VI School District.
As a Liaison for the Strafford Chapter, Lacey works within the Strafford R-VI School District to ensure student’s basic needs are being met and to raise funds to ensure Care to Learn – Strafford continues its mission.
Lacey is a huge advocate of Care to Learn and sees first hand the impact it can provide. She was able to assist a student with a dental procedure with the help of Care to Learn funds. “She wasn’t smiling, and if she was she was covering up her mouth because she didn’t want anyone to know. Once we were able to step in, it changed her whole confidence level and her whole demeanor.”
