Doug Pitt is an avid businessman, investor, and philanthropist. He holds the title of "Goodwill Ambassador for the United Republic of Tanzania," an appointment he has held since April 2010.
He is also the founder of Care to Learn, a nonprofit that provides funding to meet the emergent health, hunger, and hygiene needs of children. Since 2008, Care to Learn has met over three million needs, has 46+ Chapters across the state of Missouri, and offers more than 135,000 children access to health, hunger, and hygiene resources they need.
Doug is the owner of Pitt Technology Group and Pitt Development Group, a firm that specializes in the development of medical office space. A large focus of his work is in East Africa, doing water projects as a board member of WorldServe International.
Doug Pitt cares deeply about his community and has received numerous awards for his philanthropic endeavors.
Doug and his loving wife, Lisa, have three children. As a lifelong Springfieldian, he enjoys staying involved with his family’s many activities and adventures, as well as golfing, bicycling, and photography. He is proud to call Southwest Missouri home.
