Tina Miller

Tina Miller is the SPS Student Support Coordinator for Care to Learn. In this position, she works alongside Springfield Public Schools to help meet students’ emergent health, hunger, and hygiene needs so they can focus on learning and thrive in school. 

Tina brings a strong background in education, student support, program leadership, and community partnership to her role. Before joining Care to Learn, she served as Director of Math & Reading Buddy Programs at Crossline Community Outreach, where she led volunteer tutoring programs across eight school districts, supported volunteer training, managed grants and budgets, and built strong partnerships with schools and community organizations. 

Before her work with Crosslines, Tina spent 10 years as a mathematics teacher at Central High School. There, she taught a variety of math courses, supported diverse learners, maintained strong communication with students and families, and helped develop the district-level Algebra 2 and Algebra 2 Honors curriculum. 

Tina graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science in Education in Mathematics. She has continued to grow as an educator and leader through professional development opportunities, including the SPS Ambassadors Program, Leadership Springfield Access Class 10, and the United Way of the Ozarks United Academy for Inclusion and Belonging. 

When she’s not at Care to Learn, Tina enjoys spending time with her husband, Jay, and their two daughters. She loves cheering on her daughters at their activities and winding down with a good book and a cup of coffee. 

Tina’s favorite part about working at Care to Learn is helping meet students’ needs in a way that allows them to focus on learning, thrive in school, and reach their full potential.
