Chapter Information
Care to Learn - Walnut Grove was established in 2016 as the 26th Care to Learn Chapter. It currently serves students in partnership with the Walnut Grove R-V School District.
In addition to serving health, hunger, and hygiene needs the Walnut Grove Care to Learn Chapter also offers a backpack program for students averaging 15 per week.
The Walnut Grove Chapter also partners with several organizations in the community to raise funds for students in need.

Chapter Leadership
Christina Bowers
Christina is the Chapter Liaison for the Care to Learn - Walnut Grove Chapter. She also serves as the Pre-K through 5th Grade Principal for the Walnut Grove R-V School District. She is also the Foster Care Point of Contact for the school.
As a Liaison for the Walnut Grove Chapter, Christina works within the Walnut Grove R-V School District to ensure students’ basic needs are being met and to raise funds to ensure Care to Learn – Walnut Grove continues its mission.
Christina has seen firsthand the impact Care to Learn has on students, “I enjoy watching students pick out new shoes or glasses online. They are so excited when they come in and get to put them on for the first time.”
